The Medical College of Wisconsin Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a board certified / board eligible dual-trained Critical Care Cardiologist to join a growing, academically driven cardiovascular program.This physician will provide comprehensive care for critically ill cardiovascular patients across the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU), cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU), inpatient consult services, and multidisciplinary heart care teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in clinical care, collaboration, teaching, and quality improvement while contributing to the continued growth and innovation of the heart & vascular service line at Froedtert Hospital.
Position Highlights:
Provide evidence-based management of critically ill cardiac patients in the CICU & CVICU
Deliver inpatient consultative cardiology services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including the institutional shock team
Participate in cardiovascular emergencies, rapid response, and advanced hemodynamic management
Collaborate closely with heart failure, interventional, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and noninvasive cardiology teams
Support development and implementation of CICU protocols, quality initiatives, and patient safety efforts
Shift-based schedule including shared call coverage and weekend rotations
Teach and mentor fellows, residents, APPs, medical students, and other learners in an academic environment
Participate in clinical research, scholarly activity, and/or program development as desired
The practice environment includes a large, integrated multi-specialty group with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including an active cardiac transplant and ventricular assist device program and extracorporeal life support program, with a full spectrum of advanced cardiovascular therapies across the health system
Schedule:
Full time, 1.0 FTE
Mix of CICU/CVICU and other clinical rotations based on interest and expertise

Minimum Qualifications:
Well-rounded and collaborative Clinical Cardiologist
Board certification or Board eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease strongly preferred
Board certification or Board eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin
